An eminent educationist and a remarkable leader Prof. Dr. R.S Bawa is currently holding the position of Pro-Chancellor at Chandigarh University, Gharuan, Punjab. His immense contribution to the field of education has led him to get associated with some of the best institutes across the country. He has been associated with over 178 universities across 52 countries in 142 cities. 

With an exceptional experience both in the academic and administrative field for 48 years, Dr. Bawa has truly become an inspiration to thousands of young brains across the globe. Being a gold medallist in M.Sc Statistic Honors; having more than 100 articles and research papers written in record along with four books published, Dr. Bawa has set a true example of excellence for all.

His immense contribution to higher education has got him to hold the most designated positions in numerous putative education institutions.

•    Elected President of the Indian Economic Association for the year (2001-2002).
•    Elected AIU Vice Chancellor nominee as member of Court and Council of Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore.
•    Chairperson of NAAC Peer Teams for Assessment of more than 50 Institutions.
