Lucknow: After getting an A++ grade by the National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC), leading companies in the Information Technology (IT), banking, and marketing sectors have already contacted Lucknow University for placements of its students. According to LU officials, the leading multinationals contact on their own for placements in academic institutes that have a NAAC grade of A or above.

Expectedly, with LU getting the A++ grading recently from NAAC, it has been approached by various big organizations through emails.

“Tata Consultancy Services, Amazon, HCL, HDFC sales, Hexaware technology, and others have contacted us for placements of both undergraduate and postgraduate students,” said dean of student welfare Prof Poonam Tandon. She said that UG and PG students from engineering, commerce, business administration, and other fields are likely to get opportunities in these firms.
“We are happy that our students will get good job offers, salary packages, and opportunities in the industry,” she added.

The data of LU students has been sought by the human resource managers of various companies that will soon be visiting the campus for placement.

“Our teachers have informed us that soon IT sector giants will be coming to the campus and we should start preparing for interviews and interactions,” said a BCA student Ayush Agarwal.

“We were not expecting that companies like HCL or Infosys will prefer our university but after proving our worth in NAAC, students will get to work in their dream companies,” he said.

Another BCom student Abhinay Vatsa said, “Earlier the packages offered to our seniors were between Rs 2 lakh to Rs 4 lakh per annum but with LU getting an A++ grade, top companies will be visiting the campus and therefore the salary packages offered to students should be much higher.
