CBSE Board Exams 2026: Special Needs Registration Begins September 9

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated a thoughtful and inclusive step by opening the registration window for students with special needs who will appear for the Class 10 and 12 board exams in 2026. Starting September 9, 2025, schools across India can register eligible Children with Special Needs (CWSN) through the Pariksha Sangam portal, and the window remains open until September 22 at 11:59 PM.

Under this scheme, schools must mark qualified students as CWSN (with special needs) in their list of candidates (LOC) and upload the required documents. Once the registration is done, necessary facilities such as writers (scribe), additional time or auxiliary techniques will automatically be mentioned on the admit card so that the examination centres can make proper arrangements.

This initiative is not just a paper process; This is a step in the direction of equality and dignity in education. It is very relaxed for parents and students that the necessary facilities of the exam day are sure. At the same time, it is a systematic and hassle-free system for teachers that ensure inclusion.

Logistically, registering via the Pariksha Sangam portal is straightforward. Schools simply log in with existing credentials, locate the CWSN module under LOC, and tick the needed facilities that apply to each student. The details then seamlessly sync with exam rollouts making the process efficient and tech-savvy.

CBSE’s approach underscores the board’s commitment to leaving no student behind especially those who often face barriers to fair participation. With this registration drive, the hope is that exam conditions will reflect real capabilities, not just limitations.
