On the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan has took part in a Shramdaan activity under the “Swachhata Hi Sewa” campaign at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD) College, University of Delhi, on 25 September 2025. The event was organise by Ministry of Education as part of the ongoing Swacchotsav celebrations, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi call for a Swachh Bharat.

Addressing students, Shri Pradhan said that cleanliness should not be confine to only one day but must becomes a way of life. He encourage youth to devote at least one hour every week for Swachhta efforts and to actively contributes in building a clean, healthy and prosperous India. The minister also highlight the important role of young minds in realising the vision of Viksit Bharat, underlining discipline, social responsibility and commitment to public causes.

He further recalled the Prime Minister focus on Aatmanirbharta and Swadeshi, calling students to support local products and becoming “Vocal for Local” in their lifestyle. Among those present was Dr. Vineet Joshi (Secretary, Department of Higher Education), Prof. Yogesh Singh (Vice-Chancellor, Delhi University), Joint Secretaries from DoHE, and faculty members and officials of ARSD College. The gathering reinforce how small actions of cleanliness can turning into larger social change, inspiring students for take ownership in shaping India growth story from grassroots.
