Global Education Arrives in Gurugram: Victoria University India Leap
Australia-based Victoria University (VU) is set to open its first international campus in India located in Gurugram, Delhi NCR with a planned launch by mid-2026. The campus will adopt VU’s award-winning “Block Model,” a unique teaching style where students focus on one subject at a time over four-week blocks, making learning more interactive and less overwhelming.
The new VU India campus will offer undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in areas like business, information technology and other industry-aligned courses. Small, workshop-style classes and practical learning including opportunities for work placements and industry projects aim to give Indian students access to globally benchmarked education without leaving the country.
According to the university, such a model has delivered a 94% pass rate in Australia, with strong support for first-generation and disadvantaged students. By bringing this block-based, student-centred learning to India, VU hopes to bridge the gap between international education standards and affordable access for Indian youth.
For many Indian students, this could mean attaining a global-standard degree while staying close to home a compelling alternative to studying abroad. As the Gurugram campus gets ready to throw open its doors in 2026, VU’s move is a bold statement in favour of accessible, quality higher education for a growing Indian middle class.
