Himachal Principal Saven Thursday Cheque Rejected
In a recent incident in Himachal Pradesh, a cheque issued by the principal of Government Senior Secondary School in Ronhat, Sirmaur district, was rejected by the bank because of many spelling errors in the written amount. The cheque, dated September 25, was intended to pay Rs 7,616 to Atter Singh, a mid-day meal worker. But the written amount read "Saven Thursday six Harendra sixty rupees," which make the bank rejected it.
The cheque, bearing the school's stamp and the principal's name, Alter Singh, was shared on social media and quickly went viral. Netizens expressed both amusement and concern, questioning the quality of education in state-run institutions. The principal later issue a corrected cheque. While the incident was mostly seen as a clerical error, it highlighted the importance of attention to detail in official documents.
