The NEET PG 2025 process has taken a significant stride forward as the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has published the provisional result for Round 1 of counselling. A total of 26,889 candidates have been shortlisted so far. Out of an estimated over 2 lakh applicants, about 1,28,116 had qualified the examination. 

Here’s a breakdown of what aspirants should keep in mind:

 The Round 1 reporting window opens immediately for those who have been allotted seats missing it may mean losing the seat. 
 Round 2 registration is slated from December 2 to December 7, 2025, with choice filling also due within that period, and final reporting by December 18. 
 Candidates who are satisfied with their allocation may still opt to lock it in; those wanting an upgrade must follow the official process carefully and within deadlines.

For medical-postgraduate aspirants, this result marks both relief and responsibility. Relief because one round is crossed; responsibility because you must now act submit documents, report to the college, understand the seat acceptance conditions and so forth. Also, if you didn’t make the cut this round, you’re still in the game Round 2 gives another chance, so use it wisely.
