Assistant Professor in Medical Lab Technology
Job Summary

The Individual will be responsible for developing students and making them proficient in the subject and facilitating and encouraging a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Delivering course curriculum in the classroom and/or online, which includes ensuring student awareness of course objectives, approach, and evaluation techniques, and planning lectures pertaining to core aspects of discipline with industrial relevance.
- Developing e-learning content for the LMS incorporating technology into the learning process.
- Developing methods of innovative teaching practices involving the community, government / private organizations, and competitions to the learning outcomes of the curriculum.
- Encouraging students to actively participate throughout the class, field activity, and on-job training/apprenticeships.
- Assisting in assessing the skill gaps among students and aligning interventions for upgradation from time to time.
- Facilitate, evaluate and monitor the student's performance during field projects, awareness programs, and On Job Training at Industry
- Supporting in establishing/designing labs/workshops and conducting lab sessions in consultation with prestigious Industry / Knowledge Partners, and R&D centers.
- Participating in a developmental role like brand promotion, resource mobilization, conducting seminars/ workshops, sports, extracurricular activities, assessing Library requirements, and organizing foundation course- planning, and other outreach activities.
- May allocate additional duties/ responsibilities within a staff member's skill, competence, and training.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Master’s Degree with a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching/research / industry after Masters
- Combination of Academia and Industry Experience is preferable
- Hands on Practice and Application Skills on recent Industry trends and technology is a must.
Skills
- Skills related to production or service-oriented delivery of solutions utilizing the relevant knowledge, technology, hardware, software, training and application modules.
- Excellent communication in English.
- Knowledge of local language of Sikkim is preferable.
- Presentation skills and Good interpersonal skills.
