Yogi Vemana University Targets NAAC Glory and NIRF Success
Yogi Vemana University aims for NAAC A grade, enhanced NIRF ranking, strong academic reforms, research and digital innovation.
Yogi Vemana University (YVU) in Andhra Pradesh is aiming to reach new milestone in higher education. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Bellamkonda Rajasekhar has once again assured the university’s commitment for getting an ‘A’ grade from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and to improve its place in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
The university, which already have a good academic reputation, is working hard to make its academic and administrative base more stronger. Prof. Rajasekhar said that the university’s goal is not only to get better grades but also to build a culture of excellence, transparency and research driven education.
In last few years, YVU has started using digital learning platforms, outcome-based education systems, and various faculty development programs to help teachers with modern teaching tools. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is regularly watching the progress and promoting new ideas across departments. These includes interdisciplinary learning, upgrading lab infrastructure and motivating departments to do joint projects.
During 2022–23, YVU got special recognition in NIRF ranking by getting 92nd rank in India and 3rd position in Andhra Pradesh. After this success, the Vice-Chancellor has instructed all departments to keep proper record of their academic outcomes and to increase community engagement activities as per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The new vision of the university is also focusing on student friendly programs like mentorship, skill based courses, and better placement chances. Along with this, collaborations with industries and research centers are being increased to give students more practical learning.
Prof. Rajasekhar said that the aim of getting higher ranking is not just for name or fame but for accountability and better education quality. “Our mission is to prepare globally capable graduates and to contribute meaningfully in the nation’s growth,” he said.
If YVU gets the NAAC A grade, it will be a big academic achievement that will once again prove its place among India’s best performing universities.
