This is a proud moment for India's health sector AIIMS Jammu Emerging in the country's leading medical institutions. Reaching 7th position in the prestigious Government Medical University Rankings 2025 and reaching the second highest position after Delhi's AIIMS is a proof of its rapid progress and educational and research excellence.

The credit for this achievement goes far beyond bricks and mortar. AIIMS Jammu has built strong foundations in teaching quality, innovative curriculum, and research an accolade reflected in the remarkable 385.62 out of 400 score for Academic and Research Excellence.

Spearheaded by Executive Director and CEO Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar Gupta, the institute attributes its success to the transformative vision under Prime Minister Modi’s Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. The mission to provide world -class health services in India has accelerated the rapid progress of AIIMS Jammu. At one time only 50 students started with MBBS batch and today the institute Nursing, MD/MS, MDS and M.C. Like provides various programs.

Moving beyond educational excellence, AIIMS is also a leader in the case of Jammu infrastructure. Its huge campus is equipped with 43 state-of-the-art buildings, 1,000-seat convention centre, advanced modular operating theatre and high-tech digital library.
