Candidates will get five marks for each correct answer, while one mark is deducted for every wrong response. 

CUET UG 2026 Answer Key: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the CUET UG 2026 provisional answer key soon on its official website. Candidates who appeared for the examination will be able to check the answer key and response sheet online.

This year, more than 15.6 lakh candidates registered for the undergraduate entrance exam, which was conducted between May 11 and June 7 across centres in India and several international cities. The examination covered 37 subjects, including languages, domain-specific papers and the General Aptitude Test (GAT).

After the provisional answer key is released, candidates will get an opportunity to raise objections if they find any discrepancies. To challenge a question, applicants will have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question and submit supporting evidence within the prescribed deadline.

The NTA will review all objections with the help of subject experts before preparing the final answer key. The final result will be based on the revised answer key, if any changes are made after the review process.

Candidates can also use the provisional answer key to estimate their scores. As per the marking scheme, five marks will be awarded for every correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. No marks will be awarded for unanswered questions.

Students are advised to regularly visit the official CUET website for updates regarding the answer key, objection window and result announcement.
