On May 23, 2024, the Convocation Ceremony of the 146th course of National Defence Academy in Pune saw 205 cadets conferred a Bachelor’s degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University. The event was attended by Vice Chancellors from Central University of Himachal Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, Prof (Dr) Sat Prakash Bansal. Other cadets received degrees in Science, Computer Science, and Arts streams. 17 foreign cadets were also awarded degrees.

The B Tech stream, comprising 132 Navy and Air Force cadets, received a ‘three years course completion’ certificate, as they will be conferred with the degree after one year of training at their respective pre-commissioning academics. The academic report for Spring Term – 2024 was presented, and the Chief Guest congratulated the cadets for successful completion of their training from one of the premier training academies.

Academics’ Activity Display at Bombay Stadium showcased exceptional standards of skills acquired through military training. The display was graced by Chief of Army Staff Gen Manoj Pande, and featured 270 cadets and 38 horses displaying high standards of training, complete synchronization of actions, and physical excellence. The event began with daring equestrian displays, followed by a synchronized Tri-Services Attack Demo, skydiving, skipping rope exercises, gymnastic maneuvers, and a musical ride. The event concluded with a tableau formation bidding ADIEU to the 146th Course by the High Horse Team.
