A 21 year old female student was allegedly raped inside a men’s washroom on campus by a male classmate. The assault reportedly happened on October 10, 2025, but the survivor filed a formal complaint on October 15, bringing the incident in light.

The accused, a sixth-semester student, allegedly lured the survivor to the men’s washroom under pretext of returning some belongings. Authorities have confirmed that the survivor and accused were classmates and that the case is now registerd under Section 64 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which carries severe penalties for sexual assault. The accused has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.

Fellow students expressed outrage and fear after learning about the incident, emphasizing that the college campus, which should be a secure learning environment, have serious gaps in safety measures. Many parents voiced concerns about the lack of surveillance and proper monitoring of restricted areas, urging institutions to prioritize the well being of students.
