BSEB launches free two year JEE/NEET coaching with scholarship and expert faculty support for eligible students.
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has launched a major free coaching initiative inviting applications from students preparing for the JEE (engineering) and NEET (medical) entrance exams nationwide. The two-year programme, set to run from 2026 to 2028, will be available in nine divisional districts across Bihar including Patna, Muzaffarpur, Chhapra, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Purnea, Bhagalpur, Gaya and Munger.
Under the scheme, selected students will receive non-residential coaching, with access to expert faculty (many from reputed coaching institutes), study materials, doubt-clearing sessions, and AC classrooms outfitted with digital boards. In addition, every enrolled student will get a monthly scholarship of ₹1,000 over the two-year period to support their preparation.
The structure intends to promote focused and gender-sensitive learning: separate batches of 50 boys and 50 girls will be formed for both JEE and NEET streams. Coaching centres will be located in designated government schools in each district, and assignment will be based on merit, ensuring fair access.
To be eligible, students must be appearing in their Class 10 annual examinations in 2026 (from any recognised board like BSEB, CBSE, ICSE, or others) and plan to take admission in a BSEB-affiliated +2 school. The application window is brief students need to apply online before the last date, currently set for November 30, 2025.
This initiative serves as a lifeline for many students, especially those from rural or economically weaker backgrounds who may not afford costly private coaching. By offering professional guidance, structured preparation, and financial aid, BSEB aims to level the playing field.
The free coaching programme by BSEB is not wholly new it builds upon previous efforts like the residential “Super 50” scheme, but with expanded reach and inclusivity.
For students and parents eager to apply: this could be the opportunity to access high-quality JEE/NEET coaching without the financial burden. Given the limited seats and merit-based selection, it’s wise to apply early and prepare well.
