The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 is set on November 24, with three two-hour sessions: 8:30 am to 10:30 am, 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Admit cards, which are currently accessible at iimcat.ac.in, are essential. Each admission card contains important information such as your name, application number, test day and date, reporting time, gate closure, exam session, and center information.

The CAT is an important MBA admission test in India, recognized by over 100 universities, including famous ones such as the IIMs, FMS Delhi, SPJIMR Mumbai, and IITs. Top institutions often demand CAT scores in the 90-100 percentile range.

Here’s what you must have on the exam day:

• CAT 2024 admit card, printed on A4-size paper with a recent photo affixed (the same as uploaded during registration).
• An original photo ID (Aadhar, PAN card, or passport).
• A scribe affidavit, if applicable.

ITEMS STRICTLY PROHIBITED FOR CAT 2024

To avoid disqualification, leave these at home:

• Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, and electronic gadgets like watches.
• Jewellery or items containing metal.
• Thick-soled footwear and garments with large buttons.

CAT 2024 Dos and Don’ts

• Verify and carry your admit card and original ID proof.
• Drop the admit card into the drop box provided after the exam.
• Use only the pen and scribble pad provided at the centre. These must be returned after the exam.
• Do not use the keyboard at any time. This will lock your computer system. Only use the mouse.
• Agree to the Non-Disclosure Agreement before starting the test. Sharing or reproducing exam details in any form is strictly prohibited.

A valid CAT 2024 score opens doors to postgraduate programmes at IIMs and other participating institutions.
