The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has announced that the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 will take place on November 24 in three shifts, with registration opening on August 1.
The B-school admission exam for the 2024 session will be given by IIM Calcutta.
It further stated that the comprehensive announcement for CAT 2024 will be released shortly on iimcat.ac.in.
The registration window will be available from August 1 (10 am) until September 13 (5 pm), as scheduled.
On November 5, the admission cards will be distributed, and on November 24, the test will take place.
The second week of January will see the announcement of the CAT 2024 results.
The eligibility requirements for the test will be mentioned in the CAT 2024 official notification. According to information from the previous year, in order to apply for the test, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% of the possible points or an equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST, and PwD).
Provisional applications for the exam are also accepted from candidates who have finished their degree requirements and are awaiting results, as well as those who are participating in their final year of the qualifying examination.
The application fee of CAT 2024 is ₹1,250 for SC, ST and PwD category candidates. For all others, the application fee is ₹2,500.
According to information provided by IIM Calcutta, there will be 170 cities where the entrance test will be administered this year. Applicants will be able to select up to five cities to submit their applications from.
For admission to postgraduate and fellow/doctoral level business courses provided by IIMs, the national CAT is held. A number of non-IIM schools also use the exam in their admissions procedures.
