On August 1, 2024, the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta began accepting online registrations for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024. Eligible candidates may register at iimcat.ac.in.

Educational Qualification | Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. For SC, ST, and PwD categories, a minimum of 45% marks. | |
Final Year Students | Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification can apply. Must submit a completion certificate if selected. | |
Professional Degrees | Candidates with professional degrees (e.g., CA, CS, ICWA, FIAI) are also eligible. | |

Step to apply for the CAT 2024 Exam
Step 1: Visit iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on ‘New Candidate Registration’
Step 3: Set up your profile by entering your personal and contact information.
Step 4: Upload the required documents in the specified formats.
Step 5: Enter your educational background starting from SSC/class 10.
Step 6: Include details of your work experience, if applicable.
Step 7: Select your preferred exam cities.
Step 8: Pay the required registration fees and submit after a final check.
Step 9: Once submitted, print a copy of your completed CAT 2024 application for future reference.
The registration fee for candidates from the SC, ST, and PwD categories is Rs 1250. For candidates in all other categories, the fee is Rs 2500. It is a one-time fee, regardless of the number of institutes you apply to. It is nonrefundable.
CAT 2024 will be held across approximately 170 cities. Candidates will have the option to choose up to five test cities in their preferred order. Candidates must visit iimcat.ac.in for the latest updates.
