The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) opened registration for students in Classes 9 and 11 who will be taking the 2025 board examinations on September 18. As per the official notice released on cbse.gov.in, only those students will be allowed to appear in classes 10, 12 board exams in the 2025-26 session, whose names and details will be submitted by respective schools. However, before schools begin submitting these details, they must also register themselves on the portal that has been made available for this purpose.
Further, schools are also required to see that the students are not from any unauthorized/ unaffiliated schools and are regularly attending classes in their institution and not registered with some other school education boards in addition to the CBSE.
The board has directed the principals and schools to fill in the names of the candidate, mother and father or guardian, names of subjects and all other information correctly.
Many organization's and state governments award scholarships on the basis of the financial status of the students. Information about the annual income of the parents may be collected as given by them, CBSE said, adding that schools should not demand ITR or other income proof from parents.
