Exam timings:
The CBSE class X board exams are scheduled to commence on February 15 and conclude on March 13, 2024, while the class XII board exams will start on February 15 and end on April 2, 2024. The examination timings for both classes X and XII are set from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. Some subjects will have a shorter duration, concluding at 12.30 pm. Candidates appearing for the exam will be granted an extra 15 minutes to read the question paper.
Modification to the scoring system:
Class X and XII board exam aggregate scores, overall divisions, and distinctions will no longer be provided by CBSE as of this year. In circumstances when students take more than five subjects, the admitting institution or employers will be responsible for selecting the five topics to consider. This initiative intends to alleviate the pressure on students by eliminating the creation of merit lists and discouraging detrimental competition.
