The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the practical exam schedule for winter-closed schools, running from November 5 to December 5, 2024,
The dates of the practical exams for students in classes 10 and 12 at schools closed for the winter have been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and they are currently accessible on their official website.
The timetable states that these schools’ CBSE practical exams will be held from November 5 to December 5, 2024. The standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines are also available online for students getting ready for the board exams.
“The Practical Examination/Projects/Internal Assessment for the session 2024-25 for classes X and XII for winter-bound schools will be conducted from November 5, 2024 (Tuesday) to December 5, 2024 (Thursday),” reads the official notice.
According to the provisions outlined in the Examinations Bye-Laws and Scheme of Studies of the Board, practical examinations, projects, and internal assessments for the 2024-25 academic session are set to begin on January 1, 2025, for all affiliated schools in India and abroad.
However, the official notification noted that winter-bound schools are expected to remain closed during January due to the winter season.
Winter-bound schools are required to adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Prepare a final list of candidates, ensuring that no student not included in the online List of Candidates (LOC) submitted to the Board is permitted to participate in the practical examinations, projects, or internal assessments.
2. Contact the Regional Office to arrange for the appointment of external examiners and observers.
3. Ensure the timely completion of practical examinations, project work, and internal assessments, and promptly dispatch the practical examination answer books to the regional offices.
Meanwhile, the datesheet for the Class 10 and 12 board exams is anticipated to be released soon by CBSE. The CBSE board exams are expected to start on February 15, 2025, for the 2025 academic year.
