CBSE invites applications for Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025 apply online before October 23 deadline.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently announced the Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship 2025, aimed at recognizing and supporting academically bright female students who are the only child in their family. This initiative is part of CBSE’s effort to encourage education for girls while easing financial burdens on families.
Eligible students must have secured at least 70 percent marks in their Class 10 CBSE exams and should be continuing their education in Class 11 or 12 at a CBSE-affiliated school. In addition, candidates’ families should have an annual income of less than ₹8 lakh, and tuition fees should not exceed ₹2,500 per month for Class 10 or ₹3,000 per month for Classes 11 and 12. Regular attendance and good conduct are also mandatory for scholarship consideration.
The scholarship provides ₹1,000 per month for up to two years, with renewal contingent on scoring 70 percent or more in Class 11 and continuing into Class 12. This support can help students focus on their studies without worrying excessively about financial constraints.
Application Process: Students can apply online through the official CBSE website. Schools must verify the application before submission, ensuring all details are accurate. Incomplete or unverified applications will not be considered. The deadline for submission is October 23, 2025, so students and parents are encouraged to act promptly. For detailed guidelines and the application link, visit the official CBSE website.
This scholarship is a wonderful opportunity for talented young girls to pursue higher secondary education with financial assistance and encouragement from CBSE.
