CBSE announces no overall division or aggregate marks for Class 10 and 12 exams in 2024.
Students taking the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations in 2024 will not get any overall division, distinction, or aggregate from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The board will not compute, announce, or tell the proportion of marks. The announcement comes after the board received many requests from candidates to inform them of the parameters for determining the percentage of students
The board further states that if a candidate has taken more than five courses, the choice to identify the top five subjects would be made by the accepting colleges or employers who hire CBSE board students.

It is said that if a certain proportion of marks is necessary for higher education or employment, the calculation, if any, might be made by the admitting school or employer.
The board will hold practical tests, project work, and internal assessments for all CBSE-affiliated schools in India and overseas beginning January 1, 2024 for the 2023-24 academic session. On February 15, 2024, the CBSE theoretical examinations will commence. However, a detailed date sheet is still pending.
