India witnessed a 102% rise in medical colleges and a 130% increase in MBBS seats from 2014 to 2024. States like Telangana, Rajasthan, and UP lead the growth.
Since 2014, the country's number of medical colleges and seats has increased dramatically. According to information given in Rajya Sabha by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the number of medical institutions in the nation has increased by 102%, while the number of MBBS seats has increased by 130%.
