Candidates can review CAT 2025 key from December 8 raise objections before December 10 deadline.
The IIM Kozhikode has released the provisional answer key and individual response sheets for CAT 2025, allowing all 2.58 lakh aspirants who appeared on November 30 to verify their responses.
Starting from 12 noon on December 8, a two-day objection window will open on the official portal (iimcat.ac.in). Through this window until 11:55 pm on December 10, 2025 candidates can challenge any answer they believe is incorrect, by logging in, selecting the question number, specifying their objection type, adding comments (up to 500 words), attaching supporting documents, paying the required fee, and submitting the form.
According to IIM’s marking scheme, each correct MCQ grants +3 marks, while an incorrect one incurs a –1 mark penalty. Non-MCQs (TITA) don’t carry negative marking; unanswered questions remain neutral. If a candidate’s objection is accepted, the institute will issue a revised answer key and adjust scores accordingly.
This objection facility gives students a final chance to ensure their answers reflect correct marking before the results, expected by the first week of January 2026, are declared.
For many aspirants especially those awaiting shortlists for MBA seats this window offers a valuable opportunity to maximize their potential score. Officials and aspirants alike advise checking answer sheets carefully and submitting any genuine objections before the deadline.
