The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 will most likely be held on December 1, 2024 (Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.), in offline pen and paper mode.

According to media sources, the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will make the CLAT 2025 application form available in the first week of July 2024. The CLAT 2025 application form will be made accessible on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Students who meet the eligibility requirements for CLAT 2025 must complete the registration form. The fee for general category applicants in CLAT 2025 is Rs 4,000, while the price for SC, ST, and BPL candidates is Rs 3,500.

The Consortium is expected to release the official notification for CLAT 2025 soon in addition to the exam and application process dates. The Consortium of National Law Universities conducts the CLAT exam annually.

CLAT is a centralised national-level entrance exam for admissions to 24 National Law Universities (NLUs) in the country. Some private universities and self-financed law schools in India also use CLAT scores for admissions. The exam is conducted for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) degree programmes in law.

The undergraduate programme tests candidates on subjects such as English, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Quantitative Techniques, Legal Reasoning, and Logical Reasoning.

For the postgraduate programme, the test evaluates candidates on subjects such as Constitutional Law and jurisprudence, and other law subjects, such as Contract, Torts, Criminal Law, International Law, IPR, and Environmental Law.
