NTA begins CSIR-UGC NET registration; applicants must apply by October 24, 2025.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially open the registration window for the CSIR-UGC NET December 2025 examination, inviting aspiring researcher and lecturer across science discipline to apply. The deadline of submitting applications are October 24, 2025.
This exam is very critical for those seeking Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, or PhD admission opportunity in scientific field. Candidate must login to the official portal (csirnet.nta.nic.in), fill the application form with accurate personal and academic detail, upload scanned document (photograph, signature etc), and pay the prescribe fee before submission.
Eligibility criteria is also clearly spell out. Applicant who holds a Masters degree (or equivalent) in relevant science subject with minimum marks typically 55% for General/EWS/OBC and 50% for SC/ST/PwD is eligible. Those awaiting final result also can apply, subject to condition. For JRF specifically, the maximum age limits are 30 years, though relaxation apply for certain reserved category. No any upper age limit exist for candidates applying only for Assistant Professorship.
Once the application is submit, there will be brief editing window (October 27–29) during which candidate may corrected inadvertent error. The application fees vary by categories: General ₹1,150; OBC/EWS ₹600; SC/ST/PwD ₹325.
