CUET UG 2024 was held to admit students to various undergraduate courses at 47 central, 54 state, 37 deemed, 177 private, and 6 other institutions.

In Assam, there are several universities—central, state, and private—that use the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) to admit applicants to their undergraduate courses. CUET results are used by universities, such as Assam University and Tezpur University, for undergraduate admission.

Candidates can review the requirements for eligibility, scholarships offered, and other information by visiting the websites of the individual colleges. The list of Assamese universities taking part in CUET UG is as follows:

Assam University

Assam University draws admissions from candidates from across the country. The university uses CUET UG scores to admit students in all UG courses. A total of more than 80 courses are offered by the university at the four levels – diploma, UG, PG and doctoral. The official website is–

The university has 16 schools that offer courses across the fields of Humanities, Languages, Environmental Sciences, Information Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, Technology and Management Studies. There are 57 departments under these sixteen schools.

Tezpur University

Tezpur University is a central University, established in 1994 located in the North-Eastern state of Assam.The university comprises 27 departments and 4 schools such as the School of Sciences, School of Management Sciences, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and School of Engineering. The official website is–

Tezpur University offers UG, PG, PG Diploma, and PhD programs in the fields of Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Engineering, and Management. Tezpur University conducts its own entrance examination TUEE for admission to all PG, PG Diploma, and PhD programs and for some programmes it considers CUET UG score like Integrated M.Com, Integrated in Life sciences etc.

There are several universities in Assam which do not accept the CUET UG score and conduct their own entrance test for admission in UG courses.

Admission for FYUGP (four-year UG programme), FYIMP (Five-year integrated Master Programme) and FVIPGP (Five-year integrated PG programme) either through CUET or non-CUET mode will be provisioned only through the common admission portal –

For non-CUET mode of admission, students can select programmes between May 27 and June 2, and the first merit list will be released on June 10. For admission under CUET mode, students will be able to select their programmes on July 1 and 2.
