Delhi government introduces AI skill-building program to prepare students for a tech-driven future.
The Delhi Government has announced a new educational initiative aimed at teaching Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills to school students across the capital. The program will run for several months and is expected to reach students from government as well as municipal schools, ensuring that young learners receive early exposure to technology shaping tomorrow’s world.
The core objective of the initiative is simple prepare children for the future. With AI becoming increasingly woven into industries, workplaces and daily life, the government believes early learning will help students think creatively, solve problems more intelligently and become confident in a technology-first environment.
The curriculum will introduce AI in a way children can relate to: through interactive tools, basic machine learning understanding, real-world examples and projects that spark curiosity. Rather than limiting learning to textbooks, the initiative focuses on practical exposure so that students gain hands-on awareness of how AI works.
The program is expected to strengthen India’s talent pipeline in emerging technologies. By teaching children to code, analyze and innovate from school level, the government hopes to develop a generation that is globally competitive and ready for AI-powered careers.
Experts believe that this move will not only boost technical capability but also help children develop skills like logic, decision-making and creativity. The emphasis on AI education is a reminder that future success won’t depend only on academic marks it will rely on adaptability, digital literacy and problem-solving power.
In essence, Delhi’s AI initiative is more than a policy it’s an investment in the future. Today’s schoolchildren may become tomorrow’s AI engineers, researchers, creators and leaders, and this program could be the first step that takes them there.
