DU earns top-tier NAAC A++ (CGPA 3.55); VC hails it as a landmark moment spotlighting excellence in teaching, research, governance.
                 
                   
                    New Delhi, August 8, 2025 the University of Delhi has been awarded the highest possible A++ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), achieving a cumulative grade-point average (CGPA) of 3.55 in its second accreditation cycle, valid through 2029. This represents a notable advancement from its 2018 A+ rating (CGPA 3.28).
Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh described the recognition as a “landmark moment,” praising the combined efforts of faculty, students, non-teaching staff, alumni, and other stakeholders. He emphasised that the upgrade reflects DU’s ongoing commitment to enhancing quality, encouraging innovation in teaching and research, and strengthening institutional governance.
The accreditation, which runs until 2029, affirms Delhi University’s standing among India’s premier higher-education institutions. The achievement is being celebrated as a major milestone in DU’s efforts to raise academic benchmarks and broaden its societal impact.
