Police uncover shocking twist in acid attack case victim’s father accused of lies and sexual abuse.
A disturbing twist has emerged in the Delhi “acid attack” case that gripped the city last week. What began as a shocking story of a young girl attacked with acid on her way to college has now taken an unexpected turn the police believe there may never have been an acid attack at all.
According to the latest findings, the 19 year old victim might have burnt her own hands using toilet cleaner. Investigators say the liquid used does not match any form of acid, as earlier claimed. Instead, forensic samples and statements indicate deliberate self-infliction possibly under pressure or emotional distress.
The revelation came after inconsistencies in the girl’s testimony and CCTV footage showing no sign of the alleged attackers. The Delhi Police soon discovered that her father, Akil Khan, may have orchestrated the false story to frame another family.
In a shocking development, Akil Khan was arrested not only for misleading the police but also for allegedly sexually harassing the wife of one of the men he accused. Authorities believe the fabricated acid attack narrative was his way of retaliating against that woman’s complaint against him.
The case exposes multiple layers of deceit and manipulation. It reflects how vulnerable victims’ rights can be compromised when personal grudges and revenge are involved. At the same time, it also highlights the importance of thorough investigation before drawing conclusions in crimes as serious as acid attacks.
For the girl at the center of the case, the emotional toll is unimaginable. From being seen as a survivor to possibly becoming a pawn in her father’s scheme, her trauma and confusion underline the need for sensitive psychological support.
As the investigation continues, police are awaiting final forensic results to confirm whether the burns were indeed caused by a toilet cleaner. Whatever the outcome, this case stands as a reminder of how truth can be obscured by lies even within families.
