DU begins physical mop-up admissions for thousands of vacant undergraduate seats based on 12th marks not CUET.

Delhi University is all set to launch its second on-the-spot mop-up round for undergraduate admissions, opening up nearly 7,500 vacant seat across its colleges. The registration window for this special round was ran from 5 pm on September 17 to 11:59 pm on September 19, 2025, and only those candidate who registered in that period will be eligible for participate.

Unlike previous rounds, this mop-up admission process are not consider CUET exam scores. Instead, selection will entirely based on Class 12 (or equivalent) marks. This mark a shift from earlier methods, likely because the academic session have already commenced and DU want to ensure seats doesn’t remain unfilled.

Crucially, this round is strict physical: students must goes in person to their allotted college to confirmed their seat. When reporting, they need to carry originals document plus self-attested copy of key credentials like the Class 12 certificate, Class 10 cert or date-of-birth proof, government photo ID (Aadhaar or passport etc.), reservation/category certificate if applicable, and the invitation letters specifying date and time.

If a student fail to pays the seat acceptance fees at the time of reporting, their allotted seat will been cancelled. Its essential for those who wants to avoid losing out to prepare all necessary paperworks, reach their college on time, and complete fee payment. With many seat still vacant, this mop-up are last push to include as many student as possible into DU’s undergraduate programme this year.
