Empowering Cultural Industries

The Government of India has launched several programs to encourage cultural industries, which aim to connect traditional arts with modern education and provide employment opportunities. The Cultural Resources and Training Centre (CCRT) is playing an important role in this. This teacher conducts training programs which are in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and include Indian art and heritage in the curriculum. Additionally, CCRT also conducts workshops and courses with master artisans and artists, which promotes cultural entrepreneurship.

Institutions such as the National School of Drama and Archaeological Institute provide special training in theatre and archaeology respectively, making individuals prepared for commercial career in these areas. The National Research for Cultural Property Conservation provides laboratory protection training, which helps in protecting India's rich cultural heritage.

In addition, the archival study school under the National Archives of India trains future archives experts, many of whom get employment in public and private archival institutions. The Indian Heritage Institute, established as an honorary university, provides educational guidance and research opportunities in art and cultural heritage with national institutions.

All these initiatives together contribute to the government's vision of promoting the government's sustainable, inclusive and uniform economic development through the development of cultural industries.
