Delhi University has released the academic schedule for the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth semesters of undergraduate programs for 2024–2025. The summer break
 
                 
                   
                    The academic schedule for the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth semesters of the undergraduate programmes for 2024–2025 has been made public by the University of Delhi (DU).
Additionally, the summer break for third-semester students has been extended by the university administration from July 22 to July 31.
According to the calendar, classes will begin from August 1 onwards for the students of the third and fifth semester.
The mid-semester break has been scheduled from October 27 to November 3, 2024. Classes after the mid-semester break will begin from November 4, 2024 onwards.
The official notice read, “In order to give effect to the above-mentioned academic calendar for the Academic Session 2024-25, summer vacation is notified in the existing academic calendar for the undergraduate programme for the academic session 2023-24 has been extended from July 22 to July 31, 2024.”
Reacting to the delay in the schedule of the academic events, Abha Dev Habib, secretary, Democratic Teachers’ Front (DTF), DU, said, “We may spiral into a staggered academic year, thanks to NTA, DU admissions to UG programmes its flagship programmes are nowhere in sight. Admissions to all Central Universities (CUs) have been stalled because of a centralised system of admissions- CUET.”
Meanwhile, classes for semesters IV and VI will begin from January 2, 2025 onwards, and mid-semester break has been scheduled from March 9 to March 16, 2024.
Classes after mid semester break will begin from March 17, 2025, onwards.
