Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui founder of Al-Falah University faces investigation over business dealings and campus links.
Al‑Falah University in Faridabad has become the centre of an intense investigation following the tragic car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort. The university’s founder and managing trustee, Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui, is now being scrutinised for his layered business interests as well as past legal entanglements.
The catalyst was the arrest of three doctors affiliated with Al-Falah, accused of participating in a terror module linked to the Red Fort blast. With those developments, authorities turned their attention to the founder’s trail: his network spans over a dozen companies, many tied to education, software, agribusiness, and beyond.
Digging deeper, journalists uncovered that Siddiqui had been previously jailed in connection with a rs 7.5 crore fraud case dating back to 2000–2003, involving forgery, investor deposits and shell companies. The company names, addresses and trusts linked to him bear close relevance to the same Okhla/Okhla-area trust that runs Al-Falah University.
While the university administration publicly states that they have no link beyond professional employment with the accused doctors, the unfolding scenario raises pressing questions about governance, oversight and transparency. Investigators from Delhi and Madhya Pradesh (specifically Mhow) are coordinating to map Siddiqui’s background and associations in his hometown.
For students, parents and stakeholders, this is a moment of concern: what does it mean when a university’s leadership is under such scrutiny? It does not necessarily imply wrongdoing on the part of every student or faculty, but it certainly underscores the importance of institutional integrity. As the legal and regulatory wheels turn, Al-Falah University’s reputation and future stand in the balance.
