Hospitals accredited by NBEMS get fresh advisory on candidate verification and joining steps.
Hospitals Must Follow NBEMS

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued an important advisory directed at all hospitals accredited under its system, focusing on the process for candidate reporting and joining for the upcoming NEET‑PG 2025 seat allotment.

Under this advisory: hospitals must carry out thorough document verification checking original documents of the candidate at the time of joining/reporting. They also have to ensure the candidate fulfils the eligibility criteria as laid out in the counselling information bulletin.

Additionally, the hospital’s Medical Board must conduct a medical examination, and only candidates found medically fit should be allowed to join. The first-year annual course fee must also be paid via the NBEMS portal, and hospitals are advised to verify the fee receipt. The hospital is required to update the candidate’s reporting and joining status on the Intra-MCC portal within the prescribed timeline failure to update might treat the seat as vacant.

What this means is, the system is tightening: the advisory ensures that hospitals are not passive entities but active in verifying, reporting and completing steps in a timely manner. For aspirants, this means that when you get a seat, full responsibility falls on the hospital to process you cleanly, and on you to ensure you’ve met all eligibility, medical and fee obligations.

If you’re a candidate or an institution, it’s wise to keep an eye on the timelines, verify every tick-mark in your joining checklist, and coordinate with the hospital so there are no last-minute surprises.
