The ICAI will release a revised timetable for the Chartered Accountancy examinations on March 19, 2024. Candidates studying for the May exam should check the official announcement for updated dates and other ICAI exam-related information.
The new schedule will be announced as the previously announced dates coincide with the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
The official notice released on March 16, 2024, read, "This is in continuation to the Important Announcement dated January 25 2024 in which detailed schedule of May 2024 and June 2024 Examinations were informed. In the said announcement, it was stated that in case the Chartered Accountants Examination dates coincide with the Lok Sabha Election dates, the examination will get rescheduled. The Election Commission today announced the schedule of the Election to the 18th Lok Sabha in April - June 2024. It is observed that the aforementioned Lok Sabha Election, which will be held in 7 phases, will commence from April 19, 2024, and conclude on June 1, 2024."
“Counting for all phases will be done on 4th June 2024. Accordingly, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India will issue the detailed revised schedule of the May 2024 Examinations on 19th March 2024 (Evening),” read the official notice further.
According to the earlier official calendar released by ICAI, the CA Foundation course exams were scheduled to take place on June 20, 22, 24, and 26. The Intermediate Group I exams were scheduled for May 3, 5, and 7, 2024. The Group II exams were set for May 9, 11, and 13. The CA Final exams were scheduled to be held on May 2, 4, and 6 for Group I, and on May 8, 10, and 12 for Group II.
Candidates who are preparing to write their Chartered Accountants Examination on the dates scheduled for May 2024 are advised to visit the website of the Institute on and after March 19 to find the new schedule of the exam.
