The application deadline for new admissions to the July 2024 academic session has been extended by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) on their official website. Students can now apply for online programs and Online Distance Learning (ODL) through October 15, 2024.

The deadline on September 30, 2024, was initially set. It is recommended that applicants apply by the deadline to prevent last-minute rushes and delays.

This update was shared by IGNOU on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, stating: "The last date for fresh admissions to the July 2024 session has been extended to October 15, 2024, for all ODL and online programmes, excluding semester-based and certificate courses."

STEPS TO APPLY FOR IGNOU JULY 2024 ADMISSIONS

  • Visit the IGNOU website (ignou.ac.in)
  • Click on the registration link available on the homepage
  • Click on new login
  • Fill in the registration form
  • Pay the application fee and submit the form
  • Download it and take a printout for future reference.

Applicants must ensure they have the necessary documents ready in the required format for IGNOU admissions. These include a scanned photograph and signature, each under 100 KB, as well as a scanned copy of relevant educational qualifications, not exceeding 200 KB.

Additionally, those with work experience can upload a scanned copy of their experience certificate (if applicable), and candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories must provide a scanned copy of their category certificate, both within the 200 KB size limit.
