IGNOU initiates admissions for July 2024 with new PG and UG courses, including MSc and BSc in applied science-energy. Apply by June 30.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has initiated the admission proceedings for undergraduate, postgraduate, and other programmes for the July 24 academic year.
The university will introduce five new postgraduate courses and a bachelor’s degree course from this July session including MSc degree in zoology, physics, analytical chemistry, chemistry and industrial safety.
The university is also offering a BSc degree in applied science-energy this year. The programme will cover topics such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable energy management.
Interested candidates can register on the official websites of IGNOU at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in andignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
IGNOU offers several certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, postgraduate diplomas, and degrees. The deadline for applying for various programmes is June 30.
The university provides more than 40 programmes that are only available online. It offers over 290 UG, PG, PG diploma, diploma, certificate and awareness programmes through online distance learning (ODL) and online (OL) mode. The ODL courses are available for students in certificate, diploma, and degree formats at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Meanwhile, undergraduate scheduled tribe and scheduled caste students from arts, science and commerce streams will not have to pay the admission fees.
How to apply
Step 1: Visit the official website of IGNOU i.e. https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/ for ODL programmes and https://ignouiop.samarth.edu.in/ for online mode or programmes.
Step 2: On the homepage of both the websites you will find a link that says ‘New Registration’; click here for new registration and create your account by filling the required details.
Step 3: After the initial registration is logged in using your username and ID, select the course for which you wish to apply for and upload all the necessary documents.
Step 4: Candidates must re-read all the details that have been filled in and after ensuring click on the ‘submit’ button.
Step 5: The next step is to pay the fees.
Step 6: Download and save the application form for future reference.
