IIM Ahmedabad Tops Again

Once again, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) has secured the prestigious top position in the NIRF 2025 management rankings-this is its sixth consecutive victory. The announcement made on 5 September reflects the permanent popularity of the institute and its commitment to excellence.

There is a rigorous assessment process carried out by the Ministry of Education behind this ranking. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) institutions assess the quality of teaching, research results, placements, inclusion and national prestige. IIM Ahmedabad has been ahead of other institutions continuously, while IIM Bengaluru and IIM Kozhikode are strongly occupied in second and third positions respectively.

But the story doesn’t end with the IIMs. The top 10 also features notable non-IIM institutions such as IIT Delhi’s Department of Management Studies, MDI Gurgaon, and XLRI Jamshedpur. Their presence signals a broadening of India’s management education landscape diverse, competitive, and rising.

For students, alumni and teachers, the frequent success of IIM-A is the source of pride and the standard of aspirations. Professor Bharat Bhaskar, Director of IIM-A, credited this achievement "Educational excellence of teachers, students and alumni, impressive research and unwavering commitment to meaningful contribution towards society.

The most different appears here is the confluence of tradition and mobility. While IIM Ahmedabad continues to be a pioneer, its counterpart and new emerging competitors inspire him to innovate. This ecosystem ensures that students can take advantage of rigorous standards, modern thinking and world -class education.

In the end, these rankings are more than numbers they’re stories of institutions evolving, striving, and shaping the future of Indian management education.
