A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today by the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB) and FPSB India, a financial planning standards body, to initiate an executive education program in financial planning.

The purpose of this new course from FPSB India and IIM Bangalore is to improve the nation's professional growth and financial education environment. In response to the increasing demand for advanced financial planning education, the program will provide customized courses for both students and working professionals. Through this program, the expertise of both schools will be combined to give comprehensive learning that will satisfy the industry's changing demands.

Both institutions will collaborate on joint events, including workshops, seminars, and conferences, to foster knowledge exchange and networking opportunities for professionals and students. Various initiatives are taken to promote financial literacy, advance research, and address the evolving needs of the personal finance sector.

FPSB India will also offer five scholarship programmes on the basis of merit to empower deserving candidates with the skill set, knowledge and certification necessary for a successful career as a certified financial planner professional.

“We are happy to partner with FPSB India in our shared mission to bridge the gap between academia and industry in the field of personal finance. Together, we will leverage our combined expertise to empower future finance professionals with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in today’s dynamic business environment,” said Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director of IIM Bangalore.
