The Common Admission Process (CAP) for MBA/PGP programs at IIMs in 2024 will include IIM Nagpur, expanding the group to eleven IIMs.
In order to select and interview applicants for admission to the MBA/PGP programs provided by participating IIMs, the Common Admission Process (CAP) is carried out annually. Until the previous year, nine IIMs were part of the selection process.
With the inclusion of IIM Nagpur in 2024, the CAP group will now include eleven IIMs. IIM Kashipur is the CAP 2024 coordinator.
Every year in October, the CAP-participating IIMs issue a preliminary cut-off for shortlisting applicants for the Personal Interview (PI), with the final cut-off determined after the Common Admission Test (CAT) results are revealed. This year, after the publication of the CAT result, the following cut-offs were set for shortlisting applicants for the PI procedure under CAP 2024.
Only percentile cut-offs will be used to determine the PI shortlist. Candidates who have selected the flagship MBA/PGP programmes in at least one of the CAP-participating IIMs (IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Jammu, IIM Kashipur, IIM Nagpur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Tiruchirappalli, IIM Udaipur) on the CAT form will be shortlisted.
IIM Kashipur will begin delivering PI shortlist notification emails in the second part of January. The PI registration site will also be available at the same time. To be eligible for the PI procedure, all selected candidates must first register on the PI registration page. The registration procedure is required before participating in the PI process under CAP 2024.
Professor Abhradeep Maiti, Chairperson of Admissions at IIM Kashipur, has declared that in order to reduce applicant discomfort, the CAP 2024 Personal Interviews (PI) would be done online. This action is intended to reduce the requirement for candidates to travel to many places for MBA admission interviews.
To assist candidates further, they will be permitted to fix any errors they may have made when filling out the CAT form in the educational qualification and job experience areas. Following the announcement of the merit lists, applicants will also get their normalized PI scores.
