The Indian Institute of Management Kashipur (IIM Kashipur) has launched a new post graduate executive programme in Hospital Management for experienced doctors and healthcare professionals. The one-year programme has been launched in partnership with Max Healthcare.
The new programme at IIM Kashipur is designed to address the increasing demand for skilled professionals in the Indian health sector who can effectively manage hospitals and healthcare facilities. The new programme in Hospital Management seeks to bridge the gap by providing competent and committed professionals to the healthcare sector.
The programme will cover a range of topics including healthcare economics, financial management in healthcare, sales and marketing strategy in healthcare organization behavior and human resource management, operation management and process analysis supply chain management, emerging technologies in healthcare, medico-legal and strategic management.
According to Prof. Ganguly, Dean of Development at IIM Kashipur, "the first batch's classes will be taught by faculty from both IIM Kashipur and Max Health Care, with practical training at the Max hospitals." He also mentioned that all qualified professionals will receive the title of IIM Executive Alumni.
So far, as many as 10 practicing doctors and 15 healthcare professionals have enrolled in the first batch of the programme, who come not only from diverse backgrounds but also from diverse locations like Uttarakhand, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Nepal, Rajasthan, UP, and others. They are associated with various private and government hospitals, an IIM Kashipur statement said.
