IIM Raipur, Birmingham City University, special lecture, leadership, HRM
Dr. Sara Gracy, Senior Lecturer in Leadership and HRM at BCU, will jointly present a special lecture as part of the EPGP Batch B3 elective course "Bringing Humanities and Innovation Management and Creative Entrepreneurial Leadership" at the Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur) and Birmingham City University (BCU).
Professors Mrunal Chavda, assistant professor of Humanities and Liberal Arts, IIM Raipur, and Shishank, of BCU, will jointly teach this course, indicating a major partnership between the two universities.
This course is a joint research grant funded by the British Council (India) to both institutions. This aims to support industry-academic collaboration for a more joined-up approach, leading to excellence in higher education, a work-ready workforce, and quality research outputs for the benefit of both industry and academia, an official statement said.
Dr Gracy’s lectures will explore the dynamic relationship between leadership and organisational behaviour, emphasising the importance of diversity, equality, and inclusion in the public sector.
The course aims to bridge the gap between traditional management education and the creative, human-centric approach needed to lead in the modern, innovation-driven business environment. It is designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to navigate the complexities of international management while fostering an environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
Both institutions will aim to catalyze industry-academia partnerships that will allow academia and industry to work in sync, prepare a work-ready workforce, reduce on-the-job training costs, and make learners more employable.
