IISc Bangalore Gears Up to Conduct GATE 2024, Releases Tentative Exam Centres

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore is set to conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 on February 3, 4, 10, and 11.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore is preparing to host the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 on February 3, 4, 10, and 11. The exam will be administered as a computer-based test across two sessions.

The GATE 2024 exam will consist of 30 test papers, including whole and sectional examinations. Candidates can take one or two exam papers from the list of authorized two-paper combinations. The candidates' GATE scores will be valid for three years from the date of the announcement of results.

The nationwide examination that evaluates applicants for thorough comprehension of a range of engineering, technology, science, architecture, and humanities undergraduate courses. Candidates who pass the GATE can apply for Master's programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, and Humanities, as well as Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Engineering, Science, and Humanities, at institutions supported by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other government agencies. Some schools and institutes use GATE scores to admit students to postgraduate programs who do not get MoE scholarships. Several public sector undertakings (PSUs) have also used GATE scores in recruitment.

The organising institute IISc Bangalore has released the tentative list of GATE exam centres 2024. The following is a list of all GATE exam centres along with the state where they are situated -
