Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be in the third/fourth year of a Bachelor’s programme or the  second year of a Master’s programme
  • Candidates must be in the top 20% of their class
  • The field of study must align with the specific project requirements of IIT Bombay faculty
  • Applicants must be full-time students during the internship period, with no conflicting coursework
  • Part-time internships are not allowed

How to Apply for IIT Bombay Research Internship 2024:

  • Register on the IIT Bombay Research Internship Awards website
  • Log in using your newly created username and password
    Select the IITB Research Internship Awards 2024-25 from the available options
  • Submit a Statement of Purpose (500 characters) detailing your interest in research, relevant skills, and how the internship aligns with your academic goals
  • Upload required documents, including a certificate from your principal verifying your class rank
  • Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria before submitting your application

Selection Process:

  • Initial screening based on academic performance and achievements
  • Consideration of extracurricular involvement, such as participation in Olympiads, Techfest, and similar competitions
  • Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend a test or interview. Travel reimbursement (II sleeper class) will be provided for outstation candidates
  • The final selection will be based on academic excellence, research potential, and interview performance
