IIT-Madras Invites Applications from Working Professionals, No CAT Needed


The Department of Management Studies (DoMS) at IIT Madras is currently accepting applications for its Executive MBA (EMBA) program. This course is designed especially for professionals in their mid-career, giving them access to current knowledge and management leadership skills. Beginning in January 2025, classes for this two-year degree program will take place on alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday) to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals.

How to get admission?

Candidates applying for this course are not required to take the CAT exam but must hold a graduation degree in any stream with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD). Applicants also need a minimum of three years of work experience after their undergraduate degree by December 31, 2024.

Registration deadline and selection process

The last date to apply for this course is October 20, and interested candidates have to register at doms.iitm.ac.in/admission.

Candidates selected based on their applications will need to clear a written aptitude test and personal interview conducted by IIT-Madras on the campus itself. The written examination will be held on November 8, 9 and 10, 2024, and will assess professional skills, logical reasoning, quantitative ability, and verbal aptitude.

Results will be declared by December 2024, and the course will commence by January 2025.

Candidates applying for this course will have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 1,500.
