What Is the 10 Plus 2 BTech Cadet Entry Scheme

The Indian Navy has officially opened applications for the 10 plus 2 BTech Cadet Entry Scheme for the 2026 course. This programme offers young aspirants a direct pathway to become commissioned officers while earning an engineering degree.

The scheme is designed for students who have completed Class 12 and want to combine technical education with a career in defence services.

Important Dates and Vacancies

Eligible candidates must submit their applications before January 19, 2026. Only one application per candidate is permitted, making it essential to fill details carefully.

The entry scheme offers 44 vacancies across Executive and Technical branches. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply, ensuring equal opportunity.

Training and Course Details

Selected candidates will undergo a four year BTech programme at the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala. The course is scheduled to begin in July 2026.

During training, cadets receive academic education along with physical and leadership training that prepares them for life as naval officers.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.

Additional requirements include

  • A valid JEE Main 2025 score

  • Age eligibility between January 2, 2007 and July 1, 2009

Meeting all criteria is mandatory for shortlisting.

Selection Process

The application process is entirely online, making it accessible to students across the country.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for

  • Services Selection Board interview

  • Medical examination

Final selection is based on overall performance and medical fitness.
