NTA releases JEE Main admit cards candidates must download hall tickets and follow exam guidelines.

The National Testing Agency has officially released the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit cards for the upcoming examinations scheduled on January 28 and 29 2026. This announcement brings a wave of relief and urgency for millions of engineering aspirants across the country who are preparing to appear for one of India’s most competitive entrance examinations.

Candidates can now download their admit cards from the official JEE Main website using their application number along with their password or date of birth. The hall ticket contains important information including the candidate’s name roll number examination date shift timing examination centre address and essential instructions. Students are advised to carefully verify all these details before printing the admit card.

The agency has clearly instructed candidates to avoid third party websites and rely only on the official portal for downloading the admit card. After downloading students should ensure that the printout is clear and readable especially the photograph and QR code. If any discrepancy is found in personal details exam centre or photograph candidates must immediately contact the examination authorities for correction.

The admit card is a mandatory document for entry into the examination hall. Without it no candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam under any circumstances. Along with the admit card students must carry a valid government issued photo identity proof such as Aadhaar card passport voter ID or driving licence.

Candidates are also advised to report to their examination centres well in advance. Early reporting helps complete security checks biometric verification and other formalities without last minute pressure. Entry gates usually close before the scheduled exam time and late arrivals may not be permitted.

The JEE Main Session 1 examination is being conducted across multiple dates in January including January 21, 22, 23, 24. 28 and 29. The exam plays a crucial role in admissions to undergraduate engineering architecture and planning courses in institutions such as NITs IIITs and other centrally funded technical colleges.
