Aspirants must complete JEE Main April session application before tonight’s official deadline.
Engineering aspirants across the country are making final preparations as the application window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 is set to close tonight at 9 pm. Conducted by the National Testing Agency, the exam serves as a gateway to some of the most prestigious engineering institutions in India. Officials have clearly stated that no extension will be granted beyond the announced deadline.
The registration process for Session 2 began on February 1 and has allowed eligible candidates to submit their application forms online. Students who wish to appear for the April session must complete their forms, upload required documents and pay the examination fee before the portal shuts tonight.
The examination for Session 2 is scheduled to take place from April 2 to April 9 in computer based mode. It will be conducted at multiple centres across India and selected international locations. Candidates who appeared in Session 1 earlier this year can also register again to improve their scores.
As the final hours approach, many students are carefully reviewing their details to avoid mistakes. Missing the deadline could mean losing the opportunity to attempt the April examination, which may significantly affect admission plans for the current academic year.
After the application window closes, candidates will be able to download their confirmation pages. A correction window may also open for a limited period, allowing applicants to rectify minor errors in their submitted forms.
JEE Main plays a crucial role in admissions to National Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology and other centrally funded institutions. With lakhs of students competing every year, timely application submission is essential.
Students are advised to double check personal details, academic information and exam centre preferences before final submission to ensure a smooth examination process.
