The JNVST Class 6 admission deadline for 2026 has now been extended to August 27, giving eligible students one more chance to apply through the official portals
There is a relief news for parents and interested students of class 5. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the last date for registration of JNVST 6 admission for 2026–27 academic year. Earlier this date was fixed on 29 July 2025, which was later extended till 13 August. Now applications can be submitted through official portals by 27 August 2025 cbseitms.rcil.gov.in.
For eligibility, children should be born between May 1, 2014 to July 31, 2016 and have not completed class 5 or have studied it in any previous year. The registration process includes filling individual and educational details and uploading the required documents (photo, signature, residence certificate) to JPG/JPEG format as per the specified size standards.
The selection exam will be held in two phases: 13 December 2025 and 11 April 2026. The admit cards will be available online before each examination and the result is expected to be declared by June 2026.
This examination evaluates mental capacity, mathematics and language skills and is given admission in prestigious Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas based on its results. This extension is a thoughtful second chance for families finalizing documents or needing more time. Given the fierce competition and the opportunity Navodaya schools offer free education, boarding, and quality academics this extra window could make a real difference.
